The wildest and most inaccessible of the artificial lakes of the Verdon, Lake Esparron de Verdon offers a magnificent landscape perfect for trips in electric boats. A calm and relaxing atmosphere reigns here. Ideal for tucking yourself away in one of the lake’s many coves—a little corner of paradise made up of beaches, green meadows, and peaceful inlets shaded by old oaks, olive trees, pines, and junipers.
Head toward the Gréoux-les-Bains dam, passing by scenery reminiscent of the Isle of Beauty. Quietly observe the fauna and flora of Lake Esparron de Verdon. Fully enjoy the tranquility of this part of the lake and its deep blue waters, passing by Saint Julien beach.

The old winding path, once used for canal maintenance, stretches for 11 km along the Lower Verdon Gorges. At every turn, it reveals breathtaking landscapes where the fauna and flora of the Verdon thrive.
Continue up to the submerged cave, a strictly protected site, which you can quietly observe with respect from the boat.
This first section of the Lower Verdon Gorges can be done in a 2-hour round trip. It is strictly forbidden to land on the banks anywhere in the gorges or to swim there.

At every turn, it reveals stunning landscapes where the fauna and flora of the Verdon thrive. You can still spot remnants of this path in the first part of the Lower Gorges, and from Saint Maxime Cave to Quinson, the trail was fully renovated in 2014.
In Quinson, you can either head back for the return trip and more discoveries, or cross the bridge to visit the village and have a meal at Verdon Electronautic.
The full journey through the Lower Gorges takes about 3 to 4 hours round trip. It is strictly forbidden to land on the banks anywhere in the gorges or to swim there.
Via Gréoux-les-Bains
In Gréoux-les-Bains, at the main roundabout take the direction of Riez (D952) for 2 km, then direction Esparron de Verdon (D315) for about 20 minutes.
Via Quinson
In Quinson, follow the D13 to the village center, then take the D11 toward Riez. After a few kilometers, turn right at the intersection toward Esparron de Verdon via the Albiosc road. After 5 minutes, at the intersection with D15, continue straight ahead.
Parking is charged in July and August and on weekends in may, june and september (conditions may vary each year depending on the municipality). A free parking area is visible at each village entrance (ask the local authority for shuttle schedules). During high season, plan at least 15 minutes ahead to park. Payment possible via PaybyPhone.
